Traveling to Palm Desert and JW Marriott Resort and Spa

By Air

Palm Desert is served by the Palm Springs International Airport.   The airport is located in the heart of Palm Springs, approximately 11 miles from the JW Marriott Resort and Spa in Palm Desert.

By Car, Shuttle, Limousine or Taxi Service

Directions From LAX
In light traffic, the drive from Los Angeles to Palm Desert on Interstate 10 takes about two hours.   From L.A. Airport: Take I-405 north to I-10 east. Follow I-10 east to Cook Street exit.   Go South on Cook Street to Country Club Drive.  Go West on Country Club Drive to the resort.

Directions From Palm Springs International Airport
The trip from the Palm Springs Airport to the JW Marriott is a distance of 11 miles and takes about 25 minutes.  From Palm Springs Airport: Travel east on Ramon Road to Bob Hope Drive.   Go South on Bob Hope Drive to Country Club Drive.   Take Country Club Drive East to the resort.

  • Registration includes ICSC5 Full Conference and all Special Events.
  • Due to online registration difficulties, we are extending the early conference special rate of $995.00 up to the date of the conference. Please note: In order to guarantee space at food functions, get your registration in as early as possible.

Return and Refund Policy

  • Registration cancellations received before October 20 will receive a full refund minus a $100 handling fee. No refunds will be provided for cancellations received after October 20th.

 

Hotel Registration

The official hotel of ICSC5 is the Desert Springs JW Marriott Resort and Spa. Participants should organize their own hotel reservations by telephone (1-800-228-9290) or online through the following link: JW Marriott Resort and Spa.  Hotel accommodations are not included in the conference registration. 

The ICSC5 group room rate is $159 per night. Guests must reference the “ICSC5 Conference” to get the discounted rate. Guests can also ask for the same group rate 3 days pre and post conference based on availability.

The deadline for reservations for the hotel is Monday, October 20th, 2008. After this date, the group rate and availability cannot be guaranteed, so be sure to make your reservations early.

1800-2300 Conference Banquet (Air Museum in Palm Springs)

Come join the conference organizing team and fellow attendees for the Conference Banquet Dinner at a one of a kind location! We will board buses to be transported away to the Palm Springs Air Museum, a site commemorating the history of World War II. Dine amongst vintage warplanes and automobiles of the 40’s while enjoying swing dancers and a jazz band playing music from the era. The evening will provide you a glimpse as to why the Palm Springs area was such a well known vacation spot for celebrities and movie stars during the 40’s and beyond.
